Closed Provincial Championship & Open Competition

The 2022 Alberta Closed Provincial Championship and the AHDA Open Competition to be held the weekend of May 7 & 8, 2022.      

Registration will open on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM MST.  Entries will close on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:00 PM MST.  No late entries will be accepted.      

The Alberta Closed Provincial Championship will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Edge School in Calgary.  

• Morning events for Premier dancers under 16 years will begin at 9:00 AM; registration at 8:30 AM.  
• Afternoon events for Premier dancers aged 16 years and over will begin at 12:30 PM; registration at 12:00 Noon.   
• All results will be announced following afternoon events.  
• Callbacks will be announced for morning dancers receiving awards.      

The AHDA Open Competition will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the Stanley Gym, Mount Royal University in Calgary.  

• Morning events for Intermediate and Premier Highland dancers will begin at 9:00 AM; registration opens at 8:30 AM.  
• Please note:  Premier dancers entered in the Championship on Saturday MAY NOT enter the Premier Highland events.  
• Mid- morning events for Premier National Dancers will begin at 10:30 am with registration opening at 10:00. 
• Afternoon events for all Primary, Beginner and Novice dancers will begin at 1:00 PM; registration will open at 12:30 pm.     

Volunteers are always needed.  A volunteer sign up link will be circulated presently to all competitors and professionals.
